River Spey from below Spey Dam down to Kingussie
Brown trout, pike, occasional salmon and sea trout.
Fly, spinning and bait. Day, weekly and season tickets. Junior and senior citizens concessions.
River Calder
Brown Trout.
Permit does not include salmon or sea trout.
River Tromie
Salmon and brown Trout.
Association water includes left bank only, from Tromie Bridge downstream.
River Truim
Salmon and brown trout.
Local season ticket holders only. Special permit must be obtained from Mr Sandy Bennett, Water Bailiff, Kingussie.
Alvie Estate
Salmon, grilse, sea and brown trout.
North bank from downstream end of Eilean Dubh to the East end of forest by Dalraddy Moor, South bank from Kincraig to confluence with the River Feshi. Fly fishing only - no Sunday fishing. Separate rates for salmon and trout fishing, day and weekly. Rod hire and Ghillie's services available.
Rothiemurchus Estate
Salmon, grilse, sea and brown trout.
River Spey Upper beat 2 miles, Lower beat 1 1/2 miles. No Sunday fishing. Upper beat fly only, Lower beat any acceptable method.
Aviemore Waters
Salmon, grilse, sea and brown trout.
River Spey 3 1/2 miles single bank. No Sunday fishing. Aviemore waters are only available to visitors staying in Aviemore, Coylumbridge or Rothiemurchus. Day and weekly tickets, adult and junior rates.
Abernethy Waters
Salmon, grilse, sea and brown trout.
No Sunday fishing. Abernethy waters are only available to visitors staying in Boat of Garten, Nethybridge, Dulnain Bridge and Carrbridge. Day and weekly tickets, adult and junior rates.
Broomhill to Grantown New Bridge
Salmon, grilse, sea trout.
Both banks from Broomhill bridge to Grantown road bridge (21 double bank pools + 1 1/4 miles of upper Castle Grant private beat on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays).Fly only on certain pools at low water. No float fishing. Permits are only available to visitors staying in Grantown on Spey, Cromdale, Dulnain Bridge and Nethybridge area.Weekly and season tickets include the Upper Castle Grant beat, 1- and 3-day tickets are also available, but exclude the upper Castle Beat.
River Dulnain
Salmon, grilse and sea trout.
From the bridge at Inverlaidnan to the confluence with the Spey, 12 miles over 60 double bank pools. (This water is included with tickets for Broomhill to Grantown New Bridge).Any lure except prawn, shrimp and maggot, no floats. No Sunday fishing. Pools 5-8 are closed from 1st September if the water level is no higher than 6in above summer level. Tickets are for 7 days. Permits are only available to visitors resident to Grantown on Spey, Cromdale, Dulnain Bridge, Carrbridge and Nethybridge area.
River Feshie
Salmon, sea trout and brown trout.
1300 yards on south west bank, upstream from confluence with Spey. Fly and spinning only. No Sunday fishing. Day and weekly rates for Salmon and/or trout. Rod hire and Ghillie service available.
Rothiemurchus Dell Stream
Rainbow trout.
Exclusive fly fishing for rainbow trout in their natural habitat on 1/2 mile of specially created stream, intended for the more experienced angler. No Sunday fishing. Max 4 rods, 4 fish limit. |
