ROSEGROVE IS GOING WILD!!!!! The unkind amongst our guests might say our garden is in dire need of weeding. However someone did once say that a weed is just a plant in the wrong place! In our garden they are all welcome so from here on they are wild flowers. The reason for all this is that we have seen Pine Martens crossing the road into Curr woods opposite so we would like them to come to the bird feeding area just outside the Dining Room windows. We are also putting in a wildlife pond in the same area outside the Dining Room to help in our quest to becoming a wildlife haven. Since we have been at Rosegrove we have managed to attract a lot more birds of many more different varieties. Hopefully increased vegetation will equal more cover and more insects, therefore more birds. We have even seen a Crested Tit just outside the Guest House and Crossbills are just a few yards away in the woods - we want them here! Each year Tony Davison stays here and sets up his moth trap, (website www.simplybirdsandmoths.co.uk) we are hoping to do a lot more of this so watch this space to see how we are getting on! We can now also arrange many different activities including; A minimum of three nights and parties should also be of six or more people; click HERE for accommodation special price, in addition we can arrange;
